Grayson Starner
Grayson has been actively involved with the sport of weightlifting since 2012 and is a USA Weightlifting National Coach. Grayson began his passion for fitness in the Army where he served as an infantry sergeant in Fort Drum NY from 2008-2011. After spending time coaching CrossFit classes Grayson took on his first position running a weightlifting club in early 2014 and has been doing it ever since. Grayson has coached several athletes at the National level in the Youth, Senior and Masters divisions, as well as multiple athletes at the American Open Series level. Grayson believes that weightlifting is for everyone and is eager to help those of all levels achieve their strength potential in this great sport.
Raymundo Gardea
Raymundo (aka Mundo), is a USA Weightlifting Advanced Sports Performance Coach (USAWL2). Starting off as a Physical Training Leader in the US Air Force, Mundo has been coaching fitness activity in some form or another since 2008. After completing 12 years of military service, Mundo discovered Olympic Weightlifting through Crossfit. After completing his Crossfit Level 2 and training as a coach and athlete for 4 years, he decided to pursue Olympic Weightlifting full time. Obtaining his USAW Sports Performance Coach certificate in 2015, Mundo continued to acquire knowledge by attending several Weightlifting seminars and gained experience through training and programming for Crossfit athletes. In 2016 Mundo obtained his Advance Sport Performance Coach (USAWL2) certfication (NCACE) at the final course held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado. Mundo as an athlete has competed in 3 bodyweight categories (67kg, 69kg, 73kg). He has set or broken NM State Records in all 3 categories, as well as medaled at the American Open Series in those 3 categories. Mundo has also competed at Masters Nationals and Masters Worlds. Mundo has coached with Grayson for 6 years at local Weightlifting meets, the American Open Series and Finals, University Nationals, Youth & Masters Nationals, and Masters Worlds.
